...Actually, I'm just playing.  I don't like it when people do that kind of thing "my opinion is your opinion or you're just stupid"--that thing....so, here are my 3 reasons and I think you will probably agree with me.

1.  Rick Steves is Real


For the entire low down on Rick Steves here is his Wiki Profile for the stalker in you.  Rick is a down to earth guy who loves to travel.  That's it, period.  However during his traveling he decided to start document his trips!  Rick Steves is the type of guy who will tell you what places are the best places and where you should avoid.  Rick is basically just a normal, neighbor next door guy who tells you about the good times he had while traveling around---not trying to sell you anything, just telling you about his trip.



2.  Rick Steves Travels Everywhere!




From Italy to Norway.  From Spain to even Iran Rick Steves goes everywhere to bring you the sights and sounds of that country.  I really enjoy this because I (personally) would never go to Finland or Iran or Turkey or some of the others places Rick travels, BUT I can still appreciate what I see and things of the country.


Rick allows me to "microvisit" other nations and see some of the highlights---and I really like that.  Rick takes many trips to Italy and I really enjoy all of his Italy visits--he travels to both the northern, southern and Sicily.  I can almost plan my vacation around some of the towns Rick Steves finds!

3.  Great Gifts


So many people in the USA are starting to find out where there history/ancestors came from and want to just go a little deeper.  Rick Steves' videos and programs on Youtube are GREAT for starting the connection!  I remember giving a video about Italy to my Italian Grandfather and he loved it!  Just the fact that he could see the "old country" meant a lot to him.
